1. Do you like movies? If so, what kinds of movies do you like?
2. What is the best movie you have seen recently? What was it about? What language was it in?
3. Not too long ago I saw an excellent movie called "Hidden Figures."Have you seen it?It was about three brilliant Afro-American female mathematicians who worked for NASA in the American South in the 960s and faced discrimination. I think it won several Academy Awards.
4. Does discrimination against minority groups exist in your native country? Explain.

ReplyDeleteI like to watch all difference types of movies, for example: “Resident Evil”, “Titanic”, “Moulin Rouge.” One of my favorite English movie that I have seen recently is “La La Land”. It is about a woman and a man who fall in love, while trying to be successful in their career. I have seen “Hidden Figures” trailer, but I do not watch this movie yet. For the last question that I am not sure whether there has discrimination against minority groups exist in China, but I think it was happened in everywhere. People from difference areas will have difference habit that will be looked strange to native people.
ReplyDeleteYes, I saw "LaLa Land" too. I thought it was fun to watch, but I am not sure it deserved all of the Academy Award nominations it received.
DeleteI like to watch different kinds of movies such as: comedy, mystery, adventure and documentary, and I focus on how attractive the story is more than what kind of movies it is. Recently I watched a comedy/adventure/ drama movie on the internet. It's called Bajrangi Bhaijaan. This movie is about a deaf Pakistani 5 year-old girl who gets lost in India and a man who takes her back to her homeland. The languages of this movie are Hindi, Urdu, Panjabi. I have seen the trailer of Hidden Figures, but I haven't seen the movie yet. I have heard good comments about it. As many other countries, we have discrimination, but it is only in people minds no body show that in actions. We all have the same rights in hospitals, schools and jobs.

Comedy movie is my favorite movie. It is like relaxed. I don’t use my mind to understand that this movie talk about. I just laugh. Recently i watched a comedy /cartoon movie on my computer. The name is Cats and Dogs. This movie talked about the cats would want to control human and dominated the earth, but dogs who human best friends would prevent the cats arrangement. Actually, i heard this movie, Hidden Figures, but i didn’t watch it. In china there is 55 minority groups. Most of people don’t have discrimination to minority groups. Even if it exist, i think this is very few. I never see this phenomenon. After all, we also grow up same soil.
ReplyDeleteI like movies very much. I like all kinds of movies except horror movies. I have seen "Split" recently. It is a very interesting movie I liked it. It is a psychological thriller movie in English. It was about three girls were kidnapped by a man who was diagnosed with 23 distinct personalities and they were trying to escape from him many times."I will not spoil it for you if you would like to watch it".
ReplyDeleteAlso, I have seen "Hidden Figure" with my friend. It is a very inspiring movie. It represents the power of women and nothing can stop them if they have intelligence. Regarding the last question, yes we have discrimination in my country but by the time it is getting to reduce and the people now are more open and educated.
I agree that we have to recognize progress in society when we see it, even if things aren't perfect.
